This might be last full moon we'll ever see.
It's always been the key to both our ruin.
Her piercing crystal eyes and still unspoken words
That hang upon her lips and on my own;
Her kamikaze syllables they swoop in low,
As I confess some future crime unknown.
She waits as only inches separate our skin;
She has me as I move to pull her close.

I know that we will never get another chance.
She knows we'll both be chased across the globe.
Too many loose ends to these secret rendez-vous,
Too many reasons she can't let me go.
She pushes back and aims, I just stand motionless.
It was over long before the shot rang out.
And every time I close my eyes she's all I see;
She stays until I'm still before she goes.
